ST. LOUIS — The Gateway Chapter of the International Plastic Modelers’ Society (IPMS) will present its 14th annual model contest and swap meet on Saturday, September 14, 2019. This event will be held at the Holiday Inn St. Louis Southwest--Route 66, 10709 Watson Road, St. Louis, Missouri 63127.

The show opens to the public at 9:00 a.m. and runs to approximately 3:00 p.m. Admission is $3.00 for adults and free to children ages 14 and under. Admission plus registration of unlimited models (accepted from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.)is $10 for adults and free for children ages 14 and under. The contest has 38 categories, including juniors and out of the box, and there will be ten “Best of” awards. A special contest category celebrates “1969—Hippies and Heroes.” A free children’s Make & Take model building session will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Additionally, a raffle will be held, with proceeds benefitting the United States Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots program.

Gateway Chapter IPMS is a scale modeling club which is open to all persons interested in this hobby. The club meets on the third Tuesday of each month at 7:30 p.m. at Lewis Fellowship Hall of Calvary Presbyterian Church, located at 3400 Lemay Ferry Road, St. Louis, Missouri 63125.
